A Florida man told cops after he was pulled over by an oncoming police car that he needed a smoke bomb for his truck.
Authorities told WTSP that the driver of the police car then pulled into a fire truck parked next to the fire truck, where the driver asked to be taken out for a cigarette break.
The driver pulled into the driveway, placed his cigarette inside the fire truck, flipped the ignition and ran the driver's seat back to his truck, where the driver was dead on arrival, according to The Tampa Bay Times.
He's accused of causing a motor vehicle accident and interfering with a police officer after a car accident, and now faces a number of charges.

Corporate deals push us market higher than we expect," said Chris Cossia, head of research and development at software provider Red Hat. "There's always more, because if the company's big, and has the money, it pays a lot of people and its managers more too."
And, perhaps most importantly, there are companies that are actually raising the money to build their own hardware, and the profits from such businesses can also be used to keep more people employed by contributing to companies like Amazon and IBM. It's not quite the same as "raising capital," but it makes up a significant portion of the cash flow of a hardware company.
That leaves a lot more room for the hardware companies to raise funds themselves. And, while it may not be cheap, the market is very different from the software space.
For starters, hardware is expensive. If you need to build a laptop, most of the cost is already covered when you buy one of those laptops. On the other hand, software companies make money by making applications and services—say your mobile phone app—on a large and steady base of servers (and, more importantly, devices like smartphones and tablets). That base is extremely resilient when a major problem like a new operating system or the price of a mobile phone comes down, as it did for Microsoft's Xbox or Apple's iPhones. And it's also very easy to bring that business to more users by offering better, more secure mobile devices and services as well.
"You don't have to be Google to be a platform for developers," said Peter H. Klein, chief executive of the cloud computing company Compuware in an interview with TechCrunch.
In hardware, there are no fixed, vendor-contracted salespeople, and therefore the hardware companies can actually make more money from a larger workforce because they're not tied to fixed customers. A large, loyal client population is where hardware and software businesses are particularly fertile ground. "You don't have to be Google to be a platform for developers," Klein said. "You've got people from all the OEMs."
Indeed, the majority of hardware companies and service providers are still not fully self-supporting, and they can still become financially crippled. And since more of the devices on which they sell software are not yet ubiquitous, the company has to make additional revenue every month.
To help with those financial problems, many hardware companies are now building systems that allow them to use their own servers and hardware to operate their own hardware businesses. As such, they can get rich from selling their hardware, and in some cases, by turning that hardware into software.
